CONSTITUTION OF BOARD

As per section 4 of the Water Act, 1974, the Board comprise of the following Members besides Chairman and Member Secretary:
(I) FiveOfficialMembers to be nominated by the State Govt.
(ii) Five members to be nominated by the State Government from amongst the members of the local authorities functioning within the State.
(iii) Three members to be nominated by the State Government to represent the interest of agriculture, fishery or industry or trade or any other interest which is in the opinion of the State Government ought to be represented.
(iv) Two persons to represent companies or corporations owned, controlled or managed by the State Government to be nominated by the Government.
The present Board was constituted on 10th May, 2000. The following are the members of the Board.
